Puffin

A puffin is a seabird with an amazing appearance. It has a strong, high reddish-orange beak, white cheeks and, behind its eyes, bunches of long yellowish feathers.

The puffins live in families on ocean shore. They fly well, swim, dive very deep and run rather well on land. The puffin eats small fishes and sea worms. The puffin can carry in a time several small fishes in its beak.

The puffin lays one egg into a burrow that it digs in a soft ground, or under stones. A new-born fledgling is covered with a thick and fine fluff.
