Kinglet

A kinglet is a beautiful small bird. The kinglet feathers are fluffy and because of this it is like a small green ball. And there is a bright red or orange cap on its head.

Kinglets live in spruce and pine forests. Flocks of kinglets fly from one branch to another all day. They can hang "the head down" on branches. The kinglets look for small insects, beetles and caterpillars in the tops of trees. And since the advent of winter, they eat spruce seeds.

On tall spruces, the kinglets build small round nests. It is the kinglet dad that works at the building. He uses moss, stems of herbs, pine or willow branches.
