Ara parrot

Ara parrots are the biggest parrots. They are very bright and beautiful. They have acute-angle wings and a long tail.

Aras live in hot tropical countries in forests and feed on plant seeds, cactus, sap of ripe fruits and fruits themselves, nectar and flowers. With their big and very strong beak, the aras easily crack even the most hard nuts.

Ara parrots set up firm and friendly couples for the whole life. And they live until 80-90 years old. They build nests in hollows of tree-trunks.
