Giraffe

A giraffe is the tallest animal on the Earth. Thy giraffe has long legs, neck and a small head with short horns. The long neck helps the animal to reach and eat leaves from the highest trees. As to its long legs, they enable it to run very fast, even faster than the lion, the only predator that is able to attack a giraffe. The giraffe has very sharp hoofs which help the animal to defend itself against enemies.

The giraffe has a fine eyesight and a fine hearing. The drawings on the body of each giraffe are never repeated.

The giraffes live in hot and dry steppes called savannas. There is little water there. To drink water, a giraffe has to stand with its forelegs apart. It can drink a lot of water at one time.
