Rocky Mountain goat babies
Imagine: high up in the mountains with lots and lots of snow, Rocky Mountain goat is getting ready to become a mum. And then, the time comes and she brings 1 or 2 little goats into the world.
These babies are amazing! They don't lie down and rest after birth like some other animals. They immediately try to stand on their four legs. They want to explore the world around them!
Imagine this: after a few hours, a newborn baby goat starts jumping and trying to climb small rocks and stones. He is so curious to find out what is around him and he is very inquisitive!
Of course, the mum goat is always close to her babies. She watches over them, feeds them and teaches them how to move safely through the mountains. Rocky Mountain goats are real mountaineers, and their babies start learning this art from a very early age.
