Three goats
Once upon a time there were three goats. The first goat was called Bebeka, the second goat was called Bebeka, and the third goat, the oldest, was called Memeka. Once they went to the mountain to fatten up. They had to cross a bridge, and under the bridge lived a huge, old, ugly wolf with eyes burning like coals and teeth as big as a spit. The wolf's hair had turned grey from old age, and in some places it had even come out. The wolf sat waiting for prey. The youngest Bebeka went across the bridge first. Top, top, top - it rattled on the bridge.
- Who's treading on my bridge? - growled the wolf.
- It's me, little Bebeka, I'm going to the mountain to gain fat, - answered the little goat in a thin, thin voice.
- I'll swallow you," said the wolf.
- Ah, no, please don't touch me: I am so small, - said the little goat. - Wait, here comes another goat Bebeka - he is bigger than me.
- Well, well, come along, - said the wolf.
A little while later, went the second goat Bebeka. Top, top, top, top, top - it clattered on the bridge.
- Who's treading on my bridge like that? - roared the wolf.
- I, the middle Bebeka, am going to the mountain to fatten up, - said the goat not so thin voice as the first one.
- How dare you stomp? I'll swallow you, - growled the wolf.
- No, why do you want to touch me? Wait better: behind me comes a big goat - Memeka. - He is much bigger and fatter than me.
- Well, so be it! Come quickly, - said the wolf.
And the second Bebeka went safely up the mountain. After the middle goat went the big goat - Memeka. Top, top, top, top, top, top, top - it clattered on the bridge.
The goat was so big and so heavy that the bridge creaked and trembled under his feet.
- Who is there treading on my bridge? - roared the wolf.
- It's me, big Memeka, - said the goat in a hoarse bass.
- I'll swallow you now.....
- Come on! Come to me!
The wolf rushed, big Memeka hit him with his horns, and the wolf fell down.
The goats got so fat on the mountain that they hardly came home, and if only the fat had not gone off, they were still fat.
And that's the end of the tale. And who wants the money chest?
