The wolf and the seven little goats

Once upon a time there was a goat and her goats. The goat went to the forest to eat silk grass and drink cold water. As soon as she left, the goats locked the hut and did not go out.

The goat comes back, knocks on the door and sings:

- "Little goats, little kids!
Open up, open up!
Your mother has come and brought milk;
The milk runs down the paddock,
From the paddock to the hoof,
From the hoof to the damp earth!

The goats will open the door and let their mother in. She feeds them, gives them water and goes into the forest again, and the goats lock themselves up tightly.

The wolf overheard the goat singing. When the goat left, the wolf ran to the hut and shouted in a thick voice:

- "You kids!
You little goats!
Open up,
Open up!
Your mother has come,
She's brought milk
Your hooves are full of water!

The goats answer him:

- We hear, we hear, but it's not Mother's voice! Our mother sings in a thin voice and doesn't wail like that.

The wolf had nothing to do. He went to the forge and ordered his throat to be forged so that he could sing in a thin voice. The blacksmith forged his throat. The wolf ran back to the hut and hid behind a bush.

Here comes a goat and knocks:

- "Little goats, little kids!

The goats let their mother in and began to tell how the wolf came and wanted to eat them.

The goat fed and watered the goats and strictly - strictly punished them:

- Whoever comes to the hut, begs in a thick voice and does not take all that I am giving you - do not open the door, do not let anyone in.

When the goat left, the wolf went to the hut again, knocked and began to beg in a thin voice:

- "Goats, kids, kids!
Open up, open up!
Your mother has come and brought milk;

The goats opened the door, the wolf rushed into the hut and ate all the goats. Only one baby goat hid in the stove.

The goat came: no matter how much she called and called, no one answered her.

She saw the door open, ran into the hut and there was no one there. She looked into the cooker and found a baby goat there.

When the goat learnt of her trouble, when she sat down on the bench, she began to grieve and weep bitterly:

- Oh, my little goat kids!

What they unlocked, they unlocked,

Why did you open your doors to the wicked wolf?

The wolf hears this, enters the hut and says to the goat:

- "Why do you sin against me, my goat? I didn't eat your goats. Let's go for a walk in the forest.

They went to the forest, and there was a pit in the forest, and in the pit there was a fire burning. The goat said to the wolf:

- "Come on, wolf, let's try, who will jump over the pit?

They started jumping. The goat jumped over, and the wolf jumped and fell into the hot pit.

His belly burst from the fire, the goat kids jumped out, all alive, and jumped to their mother! And they began to live - live as before.
