The Germain's peacock-pheasant Polyplectron germaini
The Germain’s peacock-pheasant is endemic to central and southern Vietnam and eastern Cambodia. It inhabits lowland, mountain and foothill forests, as well as logged secondary forests and bamboo brakes. Its diet consists of berries, fruits, seeds, wild figs, grubs, ants, insects, snails and other small animals. This pheasant is listed as “near threatened” in the IUN Red List because it is believed to have a moderately small and declining population.
