Holland's sportive lemur or the Mananara-Nord sportive lemur (Lepilemur hollandorum)
Holland's sportive lemur (Lepilemur hollandorum), or the Mananara-Nord sportive lemur, is a sportive lemur that is endemic to Madagascar.
Habitat
Lepilemur hollandorum is a species of primate mammal in the family Lepilemuridae. Endemic to Madagascar. Found only in Mananara National Park, but habitat boundaries are not yet clear. Inhabits primary and secondary rainforests.
Appearance
A rather large lemur in this family. Weighing up to 1 kg, it approaches the weight of a gentle lemur. The fur on the head, shoulders and up to the middle of the back is grey, covered with reddish patches. Below the base of the tail, the coat becomes lighter, with a brownish tinge.
