Randrianasolo's sportive lemur or the Bemaraha sportive lemur (Lepilemur randrianasoloi)
Randrianasolo's sportive lemur (Lepilemur randrianasoloi), or the Bemaraha sportive lemur, is a sportive lemur endemic to Madagascar.
Description
Lepilemur randrianasoloi is a species of primate mammal in the family Lepilemuridae. Lepylemurus. Body length is 49 to 56 cm, of which the tail is 21 to 26 cm.
Distribution
Found in the western part of Madagascar, particularly in the forests of Andramasai, in the Bemaraha National Park and in the Strict Nature Reserve of the province of Toliara. It probably inhabits the entire area between the Tsiribihina River in the south and the Manambulu River in the north. The population density is estimated at about 2,200 individuals per km2.
Conservation status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has given the species the status of "endangered". The main threats to the population are hunting and deforestation.
