Tiger
The Amur tiger is a large and beautiful animal. It is the largest and lives in the northernmost place among all tigers. It is very cold in the winter forest, so Amur tigers have thick and long fur, it is as light as snow. The tiger has a thick layer of fat on its belly to protect it from the cold and wind. His ears are short to keep him warm. It also has a flexible body, a large head, strong paws and a long tail. The Amur tiger is the largest of all the felines, it is even bigger than a lion!
Tigers live alone. They each have their own large territory to hunt. If there is enough food in their territory, they can stay there for a long time. Tigers hunt large animals such as deer and wild boar. They also eat fish, birds, and mice. Tigers are very strong hunters, but they don't always succeed in catching their prey.
When a tigress has a cub, she stays with them. Blind tiger cubs are born to her, their eyes open after a while. They play and grow, and the mother feeds them meat and milk.
