Alpaca Lama pacos
The alpaca is smaller than llama: the body length of an adult alpaca ranges from 94 to 104 cm, weight is between 55 and 65 kg. It has a short head and its coat is usually brown or black. The llamas are bred exclusively for their beautiful wool, mainly in Peru where 90% of these animals are found. Some scientists believe that the llama descends from the guanaco, while others think that its ancestors were vicuñas. There are several breeds of the alpaca that have different hair: more delicate or coarse, long or short, straight or curly.
